Help Your Teen Build a Brain that AI Can’t Replace

AI-Proof Your Brain:

A group to help your teen become a confident, independent thinker.

Through challenging readings, thoughtful discussion, writing, and connection with peers, teens learn to wrestle with complex ideas, develop their own perspectives, and communicate what they think with confidence.

This group is great for twice exceptional students: those who are gifted and also struggle, like those with ADHD, ASD, and/or dyslexia.

In this group your teen will:

Think Independently

Your teen will learn to question, analyze, evaluate, and form their own opinions rather than automatically looking to AI for answers.

Communicate Their Ideas

Teenagers will practice turning complicated thoughts into organized, authentic writing and conversation.

Find Their People

They connect with other intellectually curious, neurodiverse teens and discover that being a little different in how you think can be a strength.

Are you worried that your teen is not going to succeed in high school and beyond because they struggle with reading, writing essays, and planning?

Brilliant when talking to you but struggles to get ideas on paper,

Avoids reading because it feels overwhelming and tedious,

But still may not feel intellectually stimulated at school.

Sound familiar to your teen?

You may be feeling frustrated or confused, “They’re bored but they’re also falling behind…How can someone so advanced in one area be so stuck in another?!”

Your teen is bright. You see their curiosity, their humor, their unusual connections, and the depth of their ideas.

But you may also see the other side of the twice-exceptional experience: the brilliant kid who struggles to get those ideas onto paper. The teenager who can talk for an hour about something they are interested in but can't start a five-paragraph essay. The kid who understands a complicated concept but can't organize an answer. The teen who is capable of extraordinary thinking but struggles with the executive functioning, language, literacy, or social communication demands of school.

I believe that all students, regardless of their skills and challenges, have something unique to share with the world. They deserve the skills to expand upon their way of thinking.

Hi! I’m Hollis, and I help teens communicate with confidence by helping them with reading, writing, speaking, listening, and executive functioning.

I help teens build the higher-level language, literacy, executive functioning, critical thinking, and social-communication skills they need for to turn complex ideas into their own words — and their words into meaningful connections.

The teens I have worked with have learned to thrive by learning more about themselves and others - just like your teen will.

Have concerns about your teen starting group therapy for ADHD?

Hmmm I’m not sure, let me think about it and come back later…
— You, stressed out and searching for help on the internet

Worried about the price?

Joining a group does cost money and that can be a hard decision for many to make. However, intervening early can help your teen build a better relationship with reading, writing, and learning in general that will last their lifetime

It may also end up being more expensive to hire a range of tutors when they aren’t working on the underlying issues

Think you don’t have the time?

I understand that speech-language therapy might be yet another item on a to-do list that is already long. However, having a designated time every week when someone else is helping your teen might be worth it.

It saves you time researching what will help your teen and trying to teach them yourself. I do the research for you! You can spend the time you have with your teen connecting and having fun. Let me take this task off your plate.

Worried that this won’t work because
nothing else has?

In our initial consultation, we will make sure that this group is the right fit for your teen. If it’s not, I’ll help guide you to other professionals so we make sure that speech-language therapy is successful for your family.

This consultation is completely free and there is no pressure to schedule after our consultation.

Not sure if the group is a good fit for your teen? Schedule a consultation to make sure!

“My teen hates writing.”

That's incredibly common—and especially understandable when writing requires a teenager to simultaneously generate ideas, organize them, initiate the task, manage working memory, monitor language, and persist through revision.

This group isn't about simply assigning more essays.

It's about giving teens interesting things to think about and helping them turn those thoughts into their own words.

“My teen is gifted. They don't need this.”

Being gifted doesn't automatically make writing, executive functioning, organization, or social communication easy.

In fact, one of the most frustrating parts of being twice-exceptional can be the gap between what a teen can understand and what they can consistently demonstrate.

This group is designed to help close that gap without lowering the intellectual level of the work.

“My teen already gets speech therapy.”

AI-Proof Your Brain applies speech-language skills to real intellectual challenges.

Instead of isolated exercises, teens practice higher-level language, comprehension, written expression, perspective-taking, discourse, and communication while discussing ideas that actually matter to them.

“My teen won't talk in a group.”

That's exactly why the group isn't built around forced socializing.

Teens connect through ideas.

A teenager who doesn't know what to say during conventional small talk may have a lot to say about whether people have free will, whether technology makes us happier, or what makes something morally right.

We start with what they're interested in thinking about.

“I don't want my teen to be judged for struggling.”

This is a neurodiversity-affirming environment where support isn't a sign that a teen isn't smart.

The message is:

Your brain is already interesting. Let's give you the tools to make its ideas heard.

Is this for all teens who use AI? Does my child need to have an issue with using AI?

No. The group is specifically designed for intellectually curious, twice-exceptional teens who would benefit from support with higher-level language, literacy, executive functioning, critical thinking, and/or social communication.

What if my teen is really advanced?

The material should be intellectually challenging enough that gifted teens aren't bored, while the support is flexible enough to meet their individual communication and executive-function needs.
